Live Escape Games have only been around in Germany since 2013 – and since then they have become the big trend for special and exciting indoor activities. In just 4 years, the first Room Escape Games were so well received that 208 providers now offer around 426 different Escape Rooms nationwide! No two Escape Games are alike – they all live from an exciting story on a certain theme and from the fun of going on a treasure hunt together as a team, cracking puzzles, combining!
There are Room Escape Games with different themes, for example: Horror House, Liquor Store, Crime Case, Zombie Apocalypse, Bomb Disposal, Nutty Professor, Prison Break, Search for a Missing Work of Art, Alien Invasion, Morgue, Magic, Escape from a Serial Killer, Egyptian Royal Tomb etc.
What Are Room Escape Games? 60 minutes, 1 Team, Brainpower
In a team of usually up to 6 people, you are locked in a room. Time is running backwards on the screen – so it’s breathing down your neck the whole time and you never lose sight of it. Now you start searching the room, finding objects and clues, combining, cracking puzzles, getting desperate from time to time – and of course getting help! Because you are being watched by a camera the whole time and tips appear on the monitor when time is running out or you ask for help yourself.
And many Room Escape Games are not at all child’s play. It is not said that you will always succeed – there are even Room Escape Games that are so challenging that only just under 50% of teams master them! So when choosing an Escape Game, you should pay attention to how challenging you want the game to be, depending on how experienced your team members already are.
