Station 2: The Haunted Forest

If your scavenger hunt takes place outdoors, you can turn a group of trees or even a real section of forest into a ghost forest by hanging colorful lights, LED candles or lanterns in it. White sheets, puppets or even masked actors (if you have helpers setting up) can represent the ghosts.

But you can also simulate a “ghostly forest” indoors by hanging branches in each room and scattering some moss, leaves and small twigs on the floor to represent the undergrowth. A cellar or basement compartment is best suited for the vampire crypt. Artificial cobwebs, bats, old candlesticks and possibly also pictures of vampires are well suited as decorative elements. Turn a room into a cave of horror by hanging large dark cloths to create a vaulted ceiling.
